We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring and caring for Oklahoma's rich steam heritage. We currently consist of 18 volunteers and have 2 steam locomotives in our care.
The St. Louis & San Francisco (Frisco) No. 4500, a 4-8-4 Northern class steam locomotive, built in 1942 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works, was used by the St. Louis & San Francisco Railway (AKA The Frisco) to haul the Meteor passenger train from St. Louis to Oklahoma City via Tulsa. It later hauled the Will Rogers passenger train after the dieselization era. She was later retired to display status in the 1950s. She currently resides at the Route 66 Historical Village.
The Dierks Lumber and Coal #207 is a 2-6-2 Prairie type steam locomotive built in 1917 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. It was originally owned by the Texas, Oklahoma, and Eastern Railway and was later transferred to the D.L.&Co for use as a logging locomotive. She was removed from service after an oil-related fire and donated to the City of Tulsa soon after. She resides (but not for long!) at the Tulsa Expo Square.
