The St. Louis & San Francisco (Frisco) No. 4500 is a 4-8-4 Northern class steam locomotive, built in 1942 by Baldwin Locomotive Works. Originally used by the Frisco Railway to haul the Meteor passenger train from St. Louis to Oklahoma City via Tulsa, it later took on the Will Rogers passenger service in the diesel era. Retired in the 1950s, this historic locomotive is now proudly displayed at the Route 66 Historical Village!
The Dierks Lumber and Coal #207 is a 2-6-2 Prairie-type steam locomotive, built in 1917 by the Baldwin Locomotive Works. Originally owned by the Texas, Oklahoma, and Eastern Railway, it later served as a logging locomotive for D.L. & Co. After an oil-related fire, it was retired and donated to the City of Tulsa. Currently located at the southwest corner of Tulsa Expo Square, this historic engine won't stay there for long as plans for its restoration are underway!
